Despite gifted with extraordinary talent, I resented my life being cut short.
One day, fueled by alcohol, I penned a proposal letter to a princess, hoping to alter my fate.
[Sure. I’d love to marry you.]…What? She’s accepting?
The problem is, I proposed to all five tyrant princesses.
And to make matters worse, I have no clue which one responded.

The entire story is filled with little comedic moments that make you laugh out loud, and wonderful, sweet romantic scenes that make you want—no, NEED—more. And I believe the story had a satisfying conclusion. It leaves you content, but because you loved the story so much, you wish it would continue!
The art isn't anything extraordinary or breathtaking, but I thought everything was well-drawn... especially the characters when viewed in profile. Don't get me wrong, there ARE flaws (in the beginning, the fingers seem unnaturally long, and Midori's eyes are often drawn annoyingly large), but overall, it's a very clean art style.
Unlike your typical shoujo, this manga features character development (shocker, right?) and you truly grow to love all the characters. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this manga and will definitely be exploring more of this mangaka's work!

Story - 7
The plot of this manga was nearly nonexistent until the very end. While significant effort went into uncovering the characters' backgrounds, the story lacked impact and concluded prematurely just as it began to gain momentum.
Art - 8
I found no issues with the art and truly appreciated the meticulous details in the scenery.
Character - 8
As mentioned, the characters had well-developed backstories, making them feel authentic and relatable.
Enjoyment - 8
I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their antics, particularly the coupling. Additionally, I loved how the two teens were brought together.

I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from giving it a try. If you're looking for something to pass the time, it's an okay read, but it's not particularly remarkable.
The story begins with a 16-year-old girl named Midori, whose father has recently passed away. Before his death, he told her that if anything happened to him, a man named Tetsuya would look after her. This leads her to Harem Lodge, where everyone is quirky and unique. Initially, this aspect caught my attention, but as the manga went on, it lost its appeal. At least there were some background stories provided for the characters, though beyond that, you don't really get to know them well. For me, there was no deep connection to any of the characters. Midori is the only somewhat relatable one, and even then, I can't say I particularly liked or disliked her. Without the backstories, what remains is a very thin plotline with a touch of romance and the overarching theme of family.
In my opinion, the ending dragged on. With about four chapters left, I was ready to be done with it. I only kept going to feel satisfied with finishing it. The manga is fairly predictable and unrealistic.

If you're in the mood for something charming and lighthearted, with a touch of eccentricity, I would suggest giving this manga a try.

Initially, I picked up this manga because of its brevity; I was looking for something quick to read. However, I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
The two main characters are delightful. Both have their own quirky, slightly scatterbrained traits, and I appreciated how the backstory of the two was gradually revealed. The supporting characters are equally charming and well-developed in their own right. Unlike some other very short manga, this one doesn't abruptly leap into a romantic relationship without buildup.
The story is humorous! It's sweet and engaging, and it doesn't demand complete focus to follow the storyline. I highly recommend it for a light-hearted reading experience.

I'm attempting to be mindful of what reading a shoujo story entails, particularly when it's brief like this one. It's sweet and straightforward, not emotionally heavy or inspiring you to rush out and find a partner, and that's exactly what I appreciated most about it. Sure, it might present misleading, idealized portrayals of love, romance, and loyalty, but it excels at delivering entertainment and lightheartedness.
I picked it up this afternoon for a bit of casual fun, and it definitely hit the mark for me.
